Research Peptide COA & HPLC Review Guide for B2B Buyers

How to review a research peptide COA or HPLC report before requesting a current project file.

Updated 5 October 2026 · BioPepSyn Lab buyer resource

Procurement scope

Read the file by scope, lot and method.

A COA or HPLC report is one part of a procurement record. A buyer needs to know what item and lot it covers, what method and result are stated, and which questions remain outside the report. Compare the file with the documentation overview, the batch-testing guide and the research peptide catalog before requesting a current project document.

Use the worksheet to record report identity, lot linkage, method, HPLC purity and content or assay as separate review fields. Download the COA and HPLC review checklist (.txt) or view the sample COA format.

01

Identify the item and lot

The report should identify the product or sequence, lot reference and the material or unit under review.

02

Check the report date

Confirm when the report was issued and whether it applies to the batch being quoted rather than a historical or sample file.

03

Read the method and result

HPLC or other analytical fields should be read together with the stated method, result and scope; do not treat one field as a complete procurement record.

04

Separate document types

COA, HPLC, net-content or assay fields, packing details and commercial seller records answer different questions and should not be conflated.

Document fields

Separate the batch report from the question it answers.

For a research peptide procurement review, a COA, HPLC record or batch report is useful only when its field, scope and lot linkage are clear. Use the visible comparison below before requesting the current project file.

01

Identity and lot

Answers which item, sequence or lot the report names. It does not by itself establish the full commercial or shipping record.

02

Method-specific HPLC area purity

Answers the stated chromatographic result for the reported method and scope. It is not automatically the same as content, assay or amount per vial.

03

Content or assay

Answers the stated amount or assay field when reported. It should be reviewed separately from HPLC area purity and from the pack label.

04

Report status

Answers whether the file is a sample, historical report or current-batch document. Current-lot availability remains project-specific.

Written review

Link the report to the order terms

The useful question is not whether a file exists, but whether it is tied to the item, lot, written specification and agreed test path for the order under review.

01

Match the current order batch

Before payment, ask how the document will be linked to the supplied lot and which files are available for the actual project.

02

Agree independent testing

If the buyer arranges third-party testing, confirm the laboratory, sample source, test scope, acceptance threshold and cost responsibility in writing.

03

Define a failed-batch remedy

Where the agreed test shows a failure against the written specification, confirm in the written project record whether the project remedy is a refund, replacement or another agreed route and how any re-test costs are handled; the site does not promise an automatic remedy.

04

Keep the procurement trail

Store the quote, item specification, report version, lot reference, seller details, shipping terms and any written test agreement together.

Guide FAQ

Questions buyers ask before
opening a project.

Can I request a third-party COA before procurement?

Third-party COA can be provided on a project basis. Ask for the item, lot reference, report date and available HPLC documentation; availability is confirmed for the project.

What does HPLC documentation establish?

It documents the stated analytical method and result for the report scope. It does not by itself establish packing, shipping, seller identity or every commercial term.

Can a historical report be used for a new order?

It can explain the report format, but it is not evidence for a new order batch. Current-batch linkage and written specification must be confirmed separately.

What happens if an agreed batch test fails?

If the laboratory, sample method and acceptance criteria were confirmed in writing before payment and the written project record confirms the remedy terms, the buyer may select the agreed refund or replacement route and the agreed re-test-cost arrangement. The public guide does not create an automatic warranty.

Next step

Read the document by lot.

Share the item or sequence, lot if known, and the identity, purity or content fields you need reviewed.
